Bunkie moves towards completion!

With the kids and grandchildren coming in August we have picked up the pace in the Bunkie. The stairs and decking is now complete and the space is completely water tight.

Tiling has begun and the shower tile is installed and grouted. The hard board is installed in the bathroom as well. The dry wall has been mudded and sanded and the priming has begun.

Pat and I have been doing our part as well the furniture is on site, including bed linens, towels and pool towels. The mattresses and frames are in

the warehouse, all 9 of them because we just don’t have room to store them considering the 960 square foot garage is now and has been a workshop and material storage facility. The new taller garage doors have

been ordered and hopefully will be installed soon. The garage ceiling will be mudded next week and the electrician is coming on August 2, to complete the electrical work, outlets switches and light fixtures.

Our Dock is Done
Joe Purdue completed the dock last night and this morning moved the pile driver off to the next job. Joe was very fortunate this morning was dead calm so he was able to push it out the creek without incident, coming in at low tide conditions the wind ran it a ground a couple of times. Be sure to to check the Dock Page for more photos.

Trusses are added to the Bunkie
Some pilings go in and the Bunkie get walls
While were snorkeling in the Grand Cayman, our crews are hard at work here at the Cottage at Creek View.

Joe and his crew begin putting in the first pilings.
While Joe fiddles with the big timbers the

framing crew is hard at work on the garage addition. Chad, Mike and little Chris are framing the

structure and they have a had great weather in the hight 60s. Its been great fun watching from the Islands via web camera as there whistle while they work and listen to Rush Limbaugh.

Dock work starts
The dock builder called on Tuesday to let us know he was ready to start, and would be delivering materials on Wednesday. Unfortunately were were headed out of town to the Cayman Islands. Therefore our recording of this event is going to be limited to some WebCam
photos for the first couple of days. Joe Purdue the dock build, leaves Friday for a week to attend his sons graduation on a from the Air Force academy and we both will be back in town for the remained of the construction.
